How to Practice Gratitude:

Finding gratitude is the simplest antidote to negativity. We have all heard it, every one of us has from 12,000- 60,000 thought’s going through our minds every day and 80% of those thoughts are most likely negative. It’s important to take a few minutes out of your day to count your blessings.

You can start doing this by writing down your gratitude’s. Writing affects your brain in a positive way. Your brain becomes really active when you start physically writing appose to texting or typing.

How to Practice Gratitude in A Journal:

Go out and buy yourself a cute notebook and take 10 minutes out of your day to write what you love in it!

What to write in your gratitude journal:

  1. Write down the current date and year.
  2. Write a minimum of 3 gratitude’s
  3. Send love to 3 people who are currently bugging you
  4. From 1 – 10 rate your emotions. 1 = bad or feeling negative and 10 = ecstatically happy and feeling positive.

This is a simple habit to get into daily that will improve your fulfillment level immensely, what is great about this process of how to practice gratitude is that you always have a reference to look back on your life which will bring you to mindfulness when you choose what to write down. Keep in mind, it may feel a little unnatural at first but soon enough after the first few weeks, you will become addicted to noting down your gratitude’s.

Always remember not to be too hard on yourself if you miss a few days.. that’s okay life can get hectic! Just as long as you get back to it you are in the clear!

How many times do you start something and it becomes a pain because of the habit that needs to be formed? You want writing in a little journal to be fun and easy for you and it’s most important not to beat up on yourself if you are not consistent with it, just always remind yourself to sit down for a second and visit your journal.

Verbalize What You're Grateful For:

It’s important to also get in the habit of always sharing what you appreciatehow to practice gratitude about your surroundings and people around you. This helps you to start expressing what you’re grateful for. Doing this part will help lift your spirits and you’ll notice that you will begin to manifest more positive results as well!

How to verbalize your gratitude:

  • “I really appreciate…”
  • “Thanks for…”
  • “I’m so glad you’re…”
  • “What you did was really helpful…”
  • “I don’t always say this but…”
  • “What would I do with out your…”
  • “I’m grateful for…”
